Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has signed into law a reform legalizing short barreled rifles (SBR) and short barreled shotguns (SBS). Not long ago, the Great Lake State also legalized silencers. Thus, Michiganders (Michiganians to some) may register the full range of firearms regulated under federal law by Title 2 of the National Firearms Act (NFA), including fully automatic firearms--so long as these firearms comply with federal regulations.

When registering NFA firearms, Michigan residents may use an Arsenal Gun Trust by Arsenal Attorneys. This way, the registration of the NFA firearms with BATFE can be completed without fingerprinting, mug shots, or sign off by local police. Additionally, by using a legal entity like the Arsenal Gun Trust, Michigan residents may take advantage of ATF eFile. This relatively new system processes NFA tax stamps and registrations in as little as 1/4 of the normal time. Otherwise, tax stamps for NFA registrations made by an individual person could take as long as 12-14 months.

The Arsenal Gun Trust offers the added benefit of enabling the client to permit legal possesion of their NFA firearms by others they have named in his Arsenal Gun Trust.
