Four Estate Planning Documents Everyone Should Have

The Wall Street Journal featured an article today entitled "Four Estate Planning Documents Everyone Should Have." We couldn't agree more. These documents include:

1. A will. Don't let the courts decide who inherits your assets. Make your own choices others must obey.

2. A durable power of attorney. Pick someone you trust to make financial and legal decisions for you if you're incapacitated.

3. A medical power of attorney. Allow someone else to make health care decisions for you.

4. A living will.  Specify your wishes others must obey regarding your end-of-life health care.
